Safety Harness Looking For Input

Post by Onetimeonly x--> »

Most of us wear them, all of us should. Kicking around the idea of a new harness currently use the Hunters Specialities "Tree Stalker" basic. It works and I like that the vest has pockets and for the most part most of the metal/buckles are covered by the cloth material. Just seems like a lot of the newer style harnesses out on the market are lean on cloth material a lot of the metal/buckles are exposed. Unfortunately when the stocks on these Excals meet metal it's an unwanted sound on stand!! Wish the stocks had thin dampening coating that was applied to kill unwanted unexpected sounds :idea: Back on topic, which harness is it that you prefer?? Reason I'm looking is my harness is of age. Thanks...

I picked up the HSS X-1 as I was in the same situation. Seems to be well made, and holds my weight. Easy on and off.

I use the HSS bow hunters vest with 30' lifeline.
I put duct tape over any metal or zipper pockets.

You wont go wrong with HSS Bowhunter vest light weight works in any weather, tape on the buckles works well. Going into my 4th season with one and love it. No fuss no muss! :) :) :)

I own the HSS Hybrid Flex and the HSS Treestalker II and find them both excellent.

The HSS TS II does not have the extra pockets that the Hybrid model has, but I give a slight advantage goes to the TS II model for not having padded shoulder straps that alter your stock to shoulder weld somewhat compared to the Hybrid Flex. My 2 cents.

I would like to which one has the longest tether on it. The one I have seems to short. I know that the way they are made but limits mobility when using my climber. :evil:
