Which fixed blade 125grs do you use?

Post by njlungbuster »

Thinking about trying some fixed this year. Curious as to what others are shooting.

Ive used slick tricks 150s n 175s theres really no difference in the blades just tip. I would give the 125s a "shot".

Look at the 125 gr G5 Striker Magnum. They are a 1.5" short broadhead and are crazy sharp!

I've got some 125gr QAD Exodus Broadheads I'm going to be testing with my reconfigured arrow recipe for the 405. I've been very impressed with my toxic broadheads which I've shot nine critters with but I only have 100gr in them. I may try picking up some 125gr replacement blades to use.

Before I saw the light and went with mechanicals  I shot NAP 125 Thunderhead's in both my vertical recurve and my crossbow.

No better or no worse than anything else that I ever shot (fixed) and could get replacement blades locally (which was perhaps the largest factor - especially in the days before "on-line ordering").

I use the G5 Montec 125's out of my 405 and they shoot great. I also have used the NAP Thunderhead 125 in the past out of my old Horton and didn't have many deer run far from them. Not into the mechanicals but I am going to try the G5 T3's this season and see how they work.

G5 Strikers, 1 1/8" shoot great, but many opt for the 1 .5" cut of the magnum, they shoot a little larger group but still very accurate out to 50 yards in my 380's
