I don't flex test my arrows - I still use the old aluminum arrows.
Looks like another good reason to stick with them.

...."The old "buck" told his young son that yes son it was a bad shot.... next time aim for the chest area...you know, those humans do a great job of hitting us deer in the vitals...we should not have any problems hitting them right in the upper chest....don't worry son...he will be up and about soon and maybe you'll get a better shot at him tomorrow or next week

When I took my bow test a couple years back, one of the other guys taking his test with a compound vertical bow told me that the day before while practicing that one of his arrows blew up just as he released it.

The shaft splinters barely missed his hand otherwise it probably would have looked like the one in the picture.
