Nice buck. As far as mounting him I have gone to this method for most of my "might mount him" bucks. I get them fairly cheap off camofire.com when they offer them at $19.95 plus shipping.
It is called Iron Buck I think.

Thanks folks! I'm still debating on having him mounted. I may have him mounted with a doe nuzzling him or something. If I do get him mounted, it's going to be something unusual. :wink:

Finally got everything done last night as far as processing the meat. I put the deboned meat in a cooler of ice water and change the water on it daily. Soaking it out like that really improves the flavor I've found. I kept track of what everything weighed as I was vacuum sealing all of the pieces and parts as I went along. Other than a 7 lb. neck roast with the bone still in it, everything else was deboned. I ended up with 67 lbs. 1 oz. of meat off that buck. :D

That's a nice buck, right on. I also have a coupla Iron Buck mount plates. Haven't used them yet but hope to this season.
