Hester0305 wrote:It was a great afternoon in the woods this afternoon, I was finally able to put one of the 8 pts down that I pics of, the wind was swirling all afternoon I figured i probably wouldn't see anything when shortly after
7:00 I saw the 5 pt coming in to my corn and he came straight in and started feeding, a short time later I saw another deer coming and I saw right away it was one of my 8 pts that I had pics of. The 8 pt took his sweet time
it took him about 10 more minutes before he came into shooting range at 32 yards, I had my speed dial on 35 and turned it down and centered up the shot as the luminock hit him, the arrow hit higher than I expected
and he went down but got back up on the front end and started down the hill, I couldn't get a shot at him so I climbed down and went toward him as he slid down the embankment into the creek where I put a finishing
shot on him. He had a big body and it took a while to get him out of the creek even with my 4 wheel drive 4 wheeler trying to get him back up the hill. It felt good finally connecting with a decent buck for our area.

Thanks everyone, the pressure is off for sure now I'm going to have plenty of meat in the freezer for awhile between me and the Mrs. I'll be looking for a good size doe now or one of my other shooters if they make that mistake Black Powder opens Monday and I don't normally don't use one but I have 2 more shooters that I'd like to close the distance on.
