I know it's not the same, but in the event you can't bring your crossbow to the hunt this year, consider going anyways and just watch the wildlife.

Last year, we tagged a moose on the first morning...5 days later, I went back yo my stand to watch nature "do it's thing". It was magical. I had a new moose call I wanted to try (friction call), so I gave it a go. It was perfect. Even saw a lady moose while coming back.

Hope everything works out for you.

Got the scope dialed in. fired about 40 bolts, mostly field points.

I got my very first robin hood after about 15 shots in with field points.

I shot the bow all the way out to 50 yards with field points and out to 30 yards with broadheads before it started to rain. I would like a little more practice with broadheads before I go out for deer, but we will see. I use NAP Thunderheads.

I also got to try out my homemade fieldpod and it worked real well. I used my small astronomy tripod and removed the head and replaced it with a rest made out of bent metal, wood and duct tape.

I uploaded some pictures to my facebook page if anyone wants to see them.

I closing I just want to thank Excalibur Customer Service again for their great work. You saved my Deer season!!!! If I get one he will be named Excalibur!
