I can honestly say I have never dry fired a crossbow ever. Instead I have done this twice in the last 10 years. Seven stitches for now and an appointment with the plastic surgeon next week.

:shock: Thats it, I nominate species and wheelie for the thumbs up award. I do believe I can see the old scar from the last time. Seriously though I feel for you. Hope everything heals up well and no complications. Sheesh that had to hurt.

I've done it twice as well, but not as bad as that and never with a 405.

I'm sorry man. I hope they gave ya some good pain killers and that it gets fixed quickly

He said that if it had been a stock string I would have been fine but because the bow was sporting a "Boo special" my days at the ivory are over. :lol: :lol:

Yikes....now I can show my kid why I am always nagging at him to not put his hand anywhere near that area. Hope you heal up soon!

OUCH!!! Joe, that looks awful. Did you give the neighbors a "French" lesson? Heck, up there they probably speak French all ready. Heal fast and well.

Twice you say, ewww thats a painful lesson OJT i guess. Thats really the reason i traded Kong off those 405's are thumb eaters. I pray it heals properly n fast n you shall be able to use it well again
