possible problem with mag tip on my m330

Post by longbow joe »

Image[/IMG] could a couple of you excalibur tribal elders please take a look at my matrix 330 mag tip i noticed it yesterday. The bow is 6 months old never been dry fired or abused. I camo sprayed the whole bow scope n all . it looks older than it is. I took the string off it appears solid intact . Im wondering if its just the factory camo dip cracking. I have other x bows but dont want to be without my workhorse its my 2nd 330 never had a problem with any of them gave my first to my nephew. Thanks lbj

I'm no pro, but that looks suspicious. I'd try to remove the spray paint to make a better determination, but it sure looks like something is letting go.

I hope that's not the case though and others can confirm it for you.

Similar concerned photos have been posted numerous time before, that is normal and you are GTG. It is just a slight air void left behind when the glue dries.

If it isn't like that for the whole circumference or if it isn't progressing, I wouldn't worry. I can't tell from the picture, but it could be just the camo. If it's the epoxy, then send the picture to Peter and let him decide what to do.

Its only on the one side not the circumfrence. I think im gonna clean the area off n put a little epoxy in the crack n "foorgetaboutit" theres hunting to do! Thank you

Mine has looked like that since I first noticed it a couple months after getting my 310. Peter assured me it was purely cosmetic and nothing to worry about.
I do check to make sure it is not loose when I change strings or adjust brace height.
