Excalibur Scope

Post by ko4nrbs »

My Vari-Zone scope has gone south on me. Should I buy another Vari-Zone or upgrade to the Excalibur Tact-Zone

If you are thinking of another vari-zone you don't need to purchase it....
Excalibur stands behind their Lifetime Warranty.
If you click the "Contact" tab on top of the page, then click "Support" you will be able to create an account - fill out the form - and receive an RMA # with instructions on where to send your scope. You should have a new replacement within a week ;)

Danny Miller will give you the option of up-grading to a higher $ excalibur and you only need pay the difference in costs... I have done that but have the replacement in my safe as a back-up I'll probably never need .

I now have a Leupold on my 355 and a Nikon Bolt on my Axiom... both are waaaay above the foreign made ones Excalibur offers ..... but I'm sure that's necessary for them when trying to maintain a price point for their packages.

hmm, tactzone is illuminated but i think the varizone is less prone to issues. not to mention there is warranty on the vari. I dont think i would spend extra $ to buy a tactzone unless you wanted the illumination.

....there is no doubt that the Tact-Zone screams out to you, "I'm your man!" when you take it out of the box and "crown" your new Excalibur with it....the first time you crank up the illumination you can do nothing but say, "Sweet!"....however for many of us, when put it through the vigors of shooting and or hunting...we have heard the the ump yell, "Strike 3 yur out!".....only to look on the bench and see the tried and true big hitters of Leupold, Hawke, Nikon and Zeiss and once they're put into the game it becomes a "game changer!"...."play ball!"

I looked at the Nikon Bolt and the Excalibur Tach Zone Scope. I didn't like the circles on the recticle of the Nikon Bolt so I bought the Excalibur Tach Zone. The Nikon was cheaper, but to me, I liked looking thru the Tach Zone more than the Nikon..... personal preference. Its sighted in, holding zero, two deer taken so far this season, all is well.
