thanks everyone.. he sure does love it, heck we both are loving it.. thought it would be a big adjustment being out there without the bow in my hands but I have my calls and my video camera.. sure hope I get him on tape shooting a deer... will keep you all posted on our season as it progresses.. not sure how he will fare in the cold weather, but I will get him out as much as possible in the warmer weather.. may have to put my ground blind up for cold weather, this way I can have a little heater in there for him...

My profile pic is of me and my son on his first hunt. Those are great times so enjoy it while you can. It didn't take long before my son wanted to hunt by himself. Now I drop him at his stand and pick him up in the dark! Only took him one season on his own to take his first solo deer. He's even learning to negotiate our land on his own. They learn fast! Good to see dads keeping our hunting tradition alive. Good luck out there!
