Matrix arrows

Post by Chris Barrett »

In all the literature supplied by Excalibur they say use only Diabolo arrows. Is this Gospel or can / do you use alternatives?

I think any arrow will work but it must weigh at 350grains or more with points or broadhead. I like close to 400 for a safety margin. Aluminum 2219,s shoot fine in mine too There are some quality arrows that are more accurate than others, but for hunting ranges i dont think enough difference for me at 30 yds or less

I like to be about 370 grains, and up. You can get some great custom arrows from many sources, and find that they can be better, and more affordable while offering more broad head weight options to use as well.

Cheers Fellas. I didn't think it would be feasible to restrict a bow to one particular arrow.

If you choose to shoot the Diablo make sure you use the 150 grain tip/bh.

450 grain tapps in the Lynx, 542 grain tapps in the Mad Max,,,, 412 grain Tapps in the Micro,,, most fine the Spynal Tapps and the Zombies appreciably better,,,, I would save the Executioners for the 355 and lighter draw Excals,,,, thats whats worked best for me anyways....Image

I use 100 grains heads with mine plus wraps and lumenoks. 389 grains and no issues.
