axiom drops a slick head
I was planning on heading out to the deer bush Monday morning but I got selected for a few hours OT at work, so wife said I should go out last night.. was tired but figured what the heck.. drive to the bush and brought my climber this time as I wanted to sit in a spot I planned to put a 2 man ladder stand for me and my boy.. got set up pretty quick and quiet and was ready to hunt by 3:30pm... bush was perfect.. nice and quiet, leaves are dropping and no wind... all was slow up until around 6:30pm.. thought I heard something walking around but , due to so many leaves being on the trees, couldn't see anything... did a "maw-waw" call on my doe bleat and waited.. heard something again.. did the call again , put my crossbow on my lap and waited.. within seconds I hear walking, look to my left and hear comes a nice doe... she comes to 5 yards , I put my 10 yard chevron on her and squeeze the trigger.. she jumps up and runs off, I can see her bleeding really good.. she runs 32 yards and I watch her fall over.. done in , literally, seconds... then I hear more running around, see a young button buck and a doe come to see her and walk around her for a bit.. then they come to me and walk around at 5 yards for a bit and the button buck starts eating the dead log by my stand ( I poured deer co'caine on it and some rack stacker crush powder).. then they wander off after 10 minutes of eating ... here's a pic of my deer where she dropped and a pic of the button buck eating the log..

thanks guys.. no, I forgot to cut them out before taking to the butcher shop.. he normally just wraps them and marks them so I can take them right away, season and cook.. can't wait.. was thinking of having them for our Thanksgiving dinner but we are already having wild turkey and goose for dinner...lol
