Limb colors

Post by BrotherRon »

I have a Matrix 310 and 330.
Both Stocks are the same color (Darker brownish color), but the limbs are different colors.
The limbs on my 310 are a brighter green than the stock while the limbs on the 330 are lighter than the stock. (They were the other way around but I swapped limbs on them)The first question my wife asked when I got them was.... why don't the limbs match the rest of your crossbow?
Does excalibur have limbs that will match these, or do they have stocks that will match my limbs? If I have both of them out at the same time it is really easy to see the difference when people look at them... and they look goofy as heck.
Are mine the only ones like this, or are others the same?

Ron.

I've noticed it too, I think Peter addressed this one time. If I recall correctly the camo is applied to the limbs in a separate process from the stock. On my 380 the first limbs had a tan to almost pinkish tint to them, the 2nd set were much closer to the camo on the stock but have sort of a greenish tint to them. As long as it hits the mark every time that's all that matters. :D

They should just make them all black and be done with it.

I don't really care if'en the models be camo'ed. I prefer Blk/OD Gn/Gray/Brn dull flat colors jus blend into the woods very well. I don't like my mainframe camo'ed at all !

Don't they also have to pay royalties for use of the camo patterns like Realtree, etc???

I like the camo colors. I never have cared for the black ninja type look. I guess thats why they gave the different patterns

I feel the same way. I'd like to see them pick a solid color for limbs, riser, & rail and then add a camo stock it they feel it's necessary for sales. Flat black, dark brown, or dark grey would make me happy.

My Phoenix is on it's 3rd set of limbs, and they are not even close to matching the stock. Limbs that matched the rail/riser would look a lot better than the mis-matched camo.

I like the gray anodized rail and riser but wouldn't it be cool if you could get a black, gold or copper colered one. And then different color stocks like da rk brown, green or brick red. Actually a decent laminated wood stock would the best thing they could do to improve the bows, imho. Yes, it would probably cost more but worth it I believe.
