Follow-up to my Beef Jerky questions...

Post by Sandman »

Well, thought I would let you know that I have made 2 batches now with the cure that I got in Toronto and the first was good (just a little too salty  my fault for not following the directions exactly) but my second batch is absolutely fantastic!! :D the only thing that I would change is the amount.......my wife and kids have eaten almost half of it on me!!!!

Once again thanks for the advise and tips!

The brand of cure is "Eastman Outdoors - Jerky Chef Seasoning" (comes in about 4-5 flavours and is made in Flushing MI). The only place I could find a jerky cure in Ontario was Le Baron in Toronto. The price per can was $8.25 and the can states that it seasons up to 30 pounds of meat? (I am counting  ).
