About your grinder.....I searched for what seemed like an eternity until I decided on the Cabelas. I feel like it was the right move. Prolly 10 years old now and runs like brand new. The only reason that I got the 1 horse is because it was on sale at the time. Without a doubt the 3/4 would have been more than enough. Let us know how well you like it.

I bet the stuff off the shelf at the local grocery store has been there longer and gotten warmer. If she doesn't want to eat your free range organic stuff, just stop off and get her a pork chop and let her roll those dice

I usually keep mine on ice for 4 days to a week at a time. I drain the water constantly by simply pulling the drain plug from the start so all melted ice drains fast. It really helps on meat quality and also keeps your cooler colder. I grind and process my meat straight out of the cooler and then stick it into the freezer.

You're good to go...enjoy your fresh meat.
Gun control is like trying to reduce drunk driving by making it tougher for sober people to own cars.
