Broke the Micro in!!!

Post by GrassyKnoll »

Finally got the monkey off my back since going to a crossbow. 35 yard shot with the Magnus Black Hornet. He made it maybe 35 yards before dropping.

Thanks so much guys for all the advice over the past year as well as the Congrats... :) :)

The Black Hornet made a very nice hole for sure..

Four deer came in on me about 10:00 am this morning from my right side. They were single file with a very big doe in the lead but she did not stop or offer a shot. The first three came to my 35 yard mark and then they veered off to their left.. The last one did the same but stopped to look at the other three. The shot was quartering towards me with the front right shoulder straight on to me. I bracketed the shot between the 30-40 yard marks in my scope. The arrow came out just before the last rib. The deer just slightly flinched and trotted to within 5 yards of my stand... You could see the blood gushing out of the shoulder area, then he walked off a few yards, stood there for maybe 30 seconds and collapsed...

Shaking like a leaf, I packed up my gear, climbed down and got my arrow. Walked up to him and said wow thats a nice hole..

Again, thanks guys,
Ed
