FOC strikes again

Post by SEW »

Yesterday evening, I shot a relatively large middle aged 6-pt. I wanted this deer out of my woods/gene pool. The shot was across a pond with the 6-PT at the pond edge. 52 yards, Zombie, FOC, M405, Optimizer, Duralyt 2-8. Wap! Deer fell to ground and rolled down the steep bank right into the pond! Didn't submerge. Had to go out into pond to drag it out .
No pictures as this was a cull/venison deer. Once again, FOC and DRT. Over half of my 14-15 FOC kills have gone less than 10 yards: at least half DRT.
Superb accuracy, quiet in flight, devasting terminal performance. Hard to beat the FOC!

This is a picture from my stand. Took last week. Dry! Dry! Dry! Deer was shot at the bare edge of the area above the bank. I was so tired, wet, muddy by the time I finished recovering and gutting the deer I just wasn't in the mood to take a picture of me with a 6-pt. However, this is a beautiful stand site. Well fertilized, Roundup Ready Alphalfa was planted 2 months ago. Maybe 1/2" rain since then.

....you should have called out the Excalibur Deer Retrieval Patrol  ...I am sure at least 10 of the younger strapping members would have taken care of that for you...great read and image!
