380 vs 405 final answer

Post by donjose »

So after a mess up from online ordering my 405 didn't pan out. So maybe a good thing. So for a final thought should I go ahead and just rock the 380 or go ahead and reorder 405. There is about 280.00 dollar difference.

There's nothing that walks planet earth that both bows won't kill...my vote is the 380. :)

Not a bad choice to be made ! Both are awesome bows ! If I intended to strictly hunt , I would get the 405 . If you want to shoot alot of targets in the off season , get the 380 . JMO

I'm with Georgiaboy on the 380. It will kill anything alive that walks on land. I love my 380 and it is a bit easier to cock than the 405.

I have had both, the 405 is dang fast. If'en all you ever did is Hunt wid it then go fer it. The 380 is abit slower easier to cock n is plenty fast fer all around huntin. I traded my 405 fer a Mirco Nitemare n bought a 380 Blkout

Second on this approach, put the extra money saved in upgrades to the 380.

I'm all about faster and more power, and I don't believe when I bought my 380 the 405 was available or I would've more than likely bought one. However, for the kind of hunting I do (stand or ground blind), the Micro works better than my 380 for me.

I think I want a 405 but then I keep asking myself why, what the hell are you thinking ? My vote goes with the 380.

Looks like the 380 wins by majority. :)

I went through the same agony trying to decide last year between the 405 and 380. I went with the 380 and love it. I'm getting 378 fps chrono tested using a 388 gr total arrow weight. Laser accuracy and far more speed and power than is need for anything in North America and probably the world. I don't regret my decision one bit. Put a good scope and a Trigger Tech trigger on it and you will be amazed at what a shooter a 380 can be. Good luck.

id say find a mega 405 and see if you can cock it..im a logger 61 years old no problem cocking it ..I don't target shoot so I think after 6 shots you would put it down..when I sight in its at 40 yrds its a monster and it tears up targets..exomag,micro,m380,vixen,m330 were what I used in the past..out side of the m380 they were 40yrds and under bows..if I was to sit in a tree or blind over bait then a lighter bow would work for me..any way the 380 is nice last couple of inches gets a little harder to cock ..micro is hard all way dont be fooled by its size..as far as limb problems get spear limbs there high performance bows and limbs are cheap ..when a buck of your life steps out you don't want to be under gunned

Keep in mind your going to age but the draw weight of the 405 will always require a young strong guy

That's why I , at 64 years young, drew the line at my M355.... They are all more than capable of getting the job done. You won't go wrong no matter which model you choose.
