I agree with your choice.. I told my boy ( this is his first year hunting) that whatever he chooses to shoot, shoot it and never feel bad for it... it's legal and it's good eating.. too many times other hunters will judge because of the size of deer we choose to harvest.. good on you for giving him the choice, it makes him feel like he's a bigger part of the hunt and that you guys did it together.. great story...

He told me he wants deer sticks made so that's what I'm doing today making him his deer sticks an he said dad how about we go squirrel hunting since we seen so many yesterday lol deer sticks an squirrel hunting how can you go wrong lol I think he's hooked line and sinker :mrgreen:

What a great story. Enjoy every minute with your son. You will turn around one day (sooner than you think) and he will be grown up.
