The Good Lord was watching over me this morning!

Post by amythntr »

....Yesterday I received my Leupold Turkey Plex from the good Dr. Danny for my IBEX....The bow is still hiding out in my office for obvious reasons, (yes, I still fear flying frying pans after 30 years of marriage  )...

....so I brought the scope with me to the office making the usual stop at the Post Office... I opened up the back door of my 4Runner to get the mail to bring in...I was on my phone as I got there and heard something fall...I looked down, backed up a foot and didn't see anything so I went in "fat, dumb and happy!" Dropped off the mail, picked up the mail, got back into the truck and off the remaining mile to work....

.....Upon opening up the back door to get my "stuff" I noticed NO SCOPE  and then it hit me..."what I heard fall at the PO was none other than my brand new Leupold   I jumped back into the truck and I sped to the PO...

....my mind was racing; did someone find it and took it....was it found and brought in to the PO or the worst scenario...did another vehicle just run it over...I was in a panic to say the least...

....this time I pulled into the PO lot and from the lot I could see the box underneath the back of the car and was looked like a smashed left side....

....As I picked up the box I was trembling     ...I slowly lifted the cover to find a Leupold with ABSOLUTELY NO DAMAGE and intact....boy was I relieved :D

....what a way to start the day....

....as I walked up the stairs I thanked the Lord for watching over the scope until I could retrieve it...

I couldn't help think about what I once read on a sugar packet in a restaurant,
"when you think about all of the things that you WANT, that you don't get, think about all of the things that you DON'T WANT that you don't get!"

....It was so truly the case for me today...very thankful, indeed!

There's a lot of ways this story could have ended with a bad outcome. Good to hear it all was good in the end for you Anthony. :)
