Parking At Work This Morning (Pics)

Post by TheBig1 »

Ok, you’re not going to believe what happened to me this morning nor would I believe it if I hadn’t been there and took pictures to prove it. I park in a corner of the parking lot that’s pretty much in the woods and I pull in so that while on break and lunch I can look into the woods, watch the wildlife, and just get lost in the wilderness instead of looking at fences. Well I pull in this morning and there’s three big gobblers at the picnic table which is about 5 yards in front of my truck. Immediately one runs over to my driver’s side door and sticks his head up to the window of the truck. I’m wondering what the hell is going on and wondering if this is payback for all of the turkeys that I’ve killed. Finally, they began to walk away and I dared to get out of the truck and walk into work all the while watching to make sure that I’m not going to get attacked by these things. And they were big!!! It was most certainly a unique experience for me needless to say.

You don't realize how big they truly are until you're standing near one at an extreme close range.

Chad

I thought about ringing one of their necks and slapping a tag on it but at first I though that wouldn't be too sporting. But now I'm thinking that I should have done it because when in your life would you have the chance to harvest a truly wild turkey with your bare hands.

That's a once in a lifetime opportunity right there.
