My shot placement was not so great, a very high mid-shoulder shot at only about 25 yards. But because I was up in a tree, the downward angle allowed the Spitfire broadhead to basically explode the lung on the far side. He never made a sound, only ran 15 yards, then stopped for about 2 seconds and collapsed into a tree. Never moved a muscle after that.
Took him to a processing plant, and had to cut the antlers quick and dirty under a time constraint. So I had a couple false starts you can see on the skull cap. I've since filled them with Spackle, to be coated on poly after everything dries.
Anyway, thanks to Excalibur for making a fine little synthetic crossbow in the Ibex! It's really something special.
