Alarming Find Part #2
Well after I posted the alarming find on my .001 zombie slayers, I got a email to look at the nock end that supports the lumenock, after looking with a large magnifier, the lumenock wires have made micro cuts in the shafts which now makes me believe that the force from the M/380 is chiseling the shaft with the wires until they crack and break. Every shaft that has been shot with lumenocks have the micro cuts, the new ones that are still boxed do not. I guess only ruining a dozen zombies, is better than the whole 2 dozen. This sucks! Are the lumenocks the only choice? jeff~

FIRENOCK's!!! They have no equal!! This is just one reason they cost a little more!!
I have used them for 4 years now, a little pricey at first,,, then year after year all you need is 10 buck's worth of batteries every other year, they last for 2 years. I have never had a failure, and except for one that shot through a deer standing in front of the river, my arrow went through and into about 8 to 10 feet deep water,,, I have never lost one,, never had one fail to light or stay lit, thats why it's all I will buy, and all I will recommend. Call Dorge, he has the best!

Re: Alarming Find Part #2
Thia is a non issue. LOTS of guys shoot them with the 405 with no issues.
How far out do you pull your luminoks to extinguish? As guys have said on your other topic you just need to pull them out far enough to turn them off any farther can cause shock like a mini dry fire.

I only twist to go off, don't have to pull them. Further more I'm NOT looking for an argument, I only posted my findings, I hesitate to ever post here, because when observations are posted it becomes political with a few. jeff~

Jeff. Check with the Lumenocks Company. They may/will have a solution for your problem. Won't hurt to check.

Seems strange you are the only one experiencing this issue. We are only trying to figure it out and ive never seen a shaft split by proper use of a luminok.
You are not supposed to twist them to turn them off btw.

Re: Alarming Find Part #2
I've shot them for a couple years. I'm certainly going to check them under the magnifier. I've only shot them out of my M380 until recently when I've begun putting them through the paces with my M405. Thanks for the heads up, it certainly doesn't hurt to check. .......I missed your first post, were your arrows breaking?

Again you arent supposed to twist.typical10 wrote:Twist and lift. BTW
If in fact it is the metal contacts splitting your shafts why would you want to make new marks in your shafts?
