Soggy Wednesday

Post by GrassyKnoll »

Who is out on this wet damp day? Deer should be moving today after all the rain yesterday and overnight here in NJ. The woods look dark and rich in color due to the overcast sky and wet conditions.

Decoy to the right, just off camera.

I'm pitched up in the tree waiting for Mister Right.

ARE YOU!!

We're out. I shot a big doe at 40 yards who was quartering to me. Complete pass through right behind the front shoulder. Good blood on arrow but no blood trail due to rain. We looked for 3 hours and can't find her. :x

Now then, get your equipment, your quiver and bow, and go out to the open country to hunt some wild game for me.

Today is supposed to be one of the best days to be in the woods, especially 1033-1333 HRS. It rained most of the night so hopefully things pick up. Haven't seen any chasing yet...

Ed, Anthony, we didn't find anything in this rain except amazing blood on my arrow. It pains me to do it but we're now back set up for our evening hunt

Thanks for the good luck! Just passed on a big 6 that walked under my stand. Wasn't a wall hanger for me and didn't want to burn my tag. Hopefully his big brother comes by...

Wish that I had such problems. Lol
Another year of scouting is what I'm hoping will produce. It's a big mountain.
