First crossbow harest.

Post by center12 »

Took a small 6 pointer this morning, first crossbow harvest. 23 yard, quartering away shot, did not get a pass thru but the slick trick trashed the off shoulder. Grizzly hit exactly where I was aiming and deer had about 5 seconds of run before going down. Should be great eating.....yes I'm a meat hunter and this Excalibur is the perfect tool for the job. Good luck to all.

Meat hunter is a good thing. Some say they don't like the taste of venison. Undoubtably they haven't had properly bled and prepared deer meat. I'll take it over beef anytime. Congrats on your harvest.

Thanks all, like those young bucks for the table.....bigger than a doe, but young and tender. Buddy has a place that has a 1 to 1 small buck to doe ratio, some of the one's not showing much horn potential are wearing a bullseye. Can't wait to try the grizzly on spring turkey.
