equinox does the job

Post by JB'STAXIDERMY »

Morning guys and gals a little late posting but heres my hunting story. I hit the woods friday morning in a new area i was familiar with but have never hunted it. I had always walked thriugh there headed to my other spots. So i get settled in a tree a half hour before daylight and as soon as it gets daylight the woods come alive. I soon realize i dont have very many shots available so i start looking for another tree to climb and guess what i hear walking through the woods.... yep deer. So i start watching and 2 does and a 4 pt and a BIG WIDE MASSIVE 6 pt ... (still dream about him right now) are headed my way about 40 yds out and all i can do is watch..... they walk by and i have NO shot at all and all i can do is watch so after they go by i find me another tree and here comes 8 more doe's and guess what again no shot so after they leave i go to my new tree and leave my stand for the evening hunt go eat lunch come back and climb and wait till dark and when it gets to where i cant see through my scope good i decide to pack up.... so as im packing up i here foot steps and see a big doe headed my way i load the equinox up and say if u walk right by my stand im going to shoot you so she heard me and came right too me. I stoped her and took the 12yd shot she done a flip ran maybe 40 yds and piled up ...... the firebolts and slick tricks done the trick... was super excited and finally got a bow kill with my equinox and right before gun season starts.....
