Arrow smithing lessons

Post by Boo »

As some of you know, I am moving into a house on my farm in Newtonvile. I expect that I'll be moved in before the end of this month. Getting the house set up will likely take a month or so. That being said, by January, I'll have some freed up time.
The reason for this thread is to ask if anyone is interested in learning how to put together some arrows. If there are interested parties, please, let's talk about it. I don't want a one on one lesson, but I don't mind spending a couple/few weekends with a couple/few individuals.
I can supply everything needed, from tools to materials. It can be in January, Feb, Mar and April. The only dates I have to avoid is the Jan 5th to Jan 7th and Karin's birthday which I don't remember at this time. If anyone remembers that last date, there's no point telling me now, cuz I ain't gonna remember. Whatever and I'm not going to ask her.
Anyone interested?

BTW, although I have a couple of Bitzenberger fletching tools, my first love goes to the Arizona EZ Fletch Bolt. It is simply the best for what we need.

Count me in!!!

I will be in Cuba end of April. Other than that anytime is good for me...

I would be interested, Depending on what weekend it may fall on. Wife works every other

Can I dress up like Steven Tyler?

edit: after researching what S Tyler looks like now , on 2nd thought id rather be Joe Perry. At least he loves guns and deer hunting. (When did Steve start carrying a man purse with a tiny dog inside??)

Awesome so far. I think groups of 3 or 4 would be ideal. I don't mind doing 2 groups per weekend or even 2 groups per day.
More interested people are welcome and I really don't care how many people in total.
Keep this thread going and we can revisit this thread starting in January.

I dunno krug, I don't think Don is keen on the whole Steven Tyler thing. Pity, I had a Liv Tyler lookalike picked out and ready to go too.

Weird is just another word for fun. If I can make it, I will be good Don. I promise

I have an ez fletch. I can bring that, and will reimburse you for any materials. I was thinking of buying some more zombie shafts anyway.
