Models using the same string and bolt

Post by WNYBILL »

Do the following models use the same string and bolts? Phoenix, Ibex, Axiom, Eclipse, Exocet, Vortex, Exomax and Equinox? The Matrix line is different???? How many different string length/style and bolt size does Excalibur use? Is there an easy way to tell?

Thanks,

Bill

All the bows you listed, not including the Matrix, use the same length string and arrows. The bows listed are all sold with 20" Firebolts.

I believe the Matrix series all use the same length string and arrows as do the Micros All three series are different from each other though.

You can look up the specs by clicking on the bows and accessories listed to the right.

Hope this helps. :)

As posted above n to add abit. All Matrix models use the same Matrix strings. The Micro's use the Micro strings, so you have a few diff Model Series that use diff lengths of strings. Of course each series has its own arrow length's as well

You can shoot 20" firebolts from a Matrix. There are videos on youtube of guys using 20" arrows for longer shots.

To reiterate......

The older wider bows (Phoenix, Ibex, Vortex, etc - all of the ones you listed) use one string. It is about 36.5" long. These come with 20" arrows, but you could shoot longer or shorter arrows if you choose.

All of the Matrix bows (405, 380, 355, Grizzly, Cub) use a 31.5" string and come with 18" arrows. Again you can shoot shorter or longer arrows.

The Micro bows (Nightmare, Xtra) use a 26.5" string and come with 16.5" arrows. And the same is true here. Longer or shorter is OK - within reason.

Personally, I shoot 20" arrows from my Vortex, and 16" arrows from my Micro.
