First Hunt for Me - Successful

Post by XB I GO »

I've been hunting many times before, my Dad took me even when I had diapers. I shot a lot of stuff most people don't even know about. This was my first time with a crossbow and I loved it. We went to a 2000 acre place where there was fallow deer, whitetail deer and aoudad. It was too windy to stalk anything and hold the heavy crossbow so we used a pop up blind on a major trail. I saw tons of different deer for 3 days. On the last day I decided I wanted to get a spotted fallow deer. I shot this one at 25 yards. I used the Firebolt with an American Broadhead Bolt 150 gr. I went right through and the deer only ran about 10 bounds before falling over.

Welcome to the forum and congrats on your first successful crossbow. That's a real nice fallow deer you poked. What bow is that you are shooting? :)

Thanks for the compliments. I'm not allowed to put my name, birthday or where we live on-line. I'm 10 years old and we live at the beach on the gulf coast.

Well I'm glad to hear that you've got some good parents teaching you some quality lessons and most importantly some OPSEC.
