Ron, sorry to hear about your loss. Our life on this earth, is but a vapor in eternity. For those in Christ, it is not the end but a glorious beginning. Those who precede us, we will see again. I have many loved ones , that I will see again. There are certain times, when certain things, really make me ache for those who have preceded me, but I remind myself that they are not gone, but until we meet again.
Psalm 144:1-1 Praise be to the LORD my Rock, who trains my hands for war, my fingers for battle.
2 He is my loving God and my fortress, my stronghold and my deliverer, my shield, in whom I take refuge, who subdues peoples under me

Sorry to hear of your Son's condition, and all the other family trials you have been through. I have no real words to comfort you that are my own, so place your faith in the Lord, and be strong for your family knowing that passage to Heaven is through Christ our Lord.

We can not control your grief. Only offer condolences.
For all our passion of the outdoors I doubt few would not give up a year of hunting if it gave you any solace, just because you know what that means as a sportsperson...

We morn. but not like those who have no hope.
Mom and Dad visited Martin on tues. As we left in the eve. " we are going home". His last comment to Mom
"am I going home too".
As I helped Martin transfer from the wheel chair to the bed, He stood, hugged a little tighter, relaxed in bed. I answered His question, Martin when Jesus comes and says "It`s time to go home" say I`m ready.
8:45 am Martin went home.

My brother, let me express my deepest heartfelt condolences at your loss here on earth. Take comfort in your knowledge that in Jesus, death has no hold. That through our Lord there is everlasting life.
