Leupold Crossbones or Hawkw XB30

Post by dmini »

I'm sure that this has been covered before, but looking for opinions on putting either a Leupold crossbones scope or Hawke XB30 on a Matrix 355. Worried about seeing hash marks on the crossbone in lowlight. Any suggestions or opinions appreciated. Thanks.

Highly recommend XB30, crosshairs are like plus marks and the brightness is adjustable. IMO best xbow scope available. very good in low light, you will want to turn it down on low in low light or it will be too bright. :D

both good scopes. if you feel you need a lighted scope go for the XB30. i found the glass ok but not as good as the Leupold and its heavy. the Leupold is longer but lighter. the light gathering issue shouldnt be a problem for most scopes dawn to dusk at 0-35 yards. i could use a Varizone during legal hunting hours.

I "HAD" a crossbones,,,,, I do use 2- XB-30's,,,, hands down best for my hunting,,, the XB-30 Pro I prefer the 2nd generation for hunting in snow,,,

and prefer the newest 3rd Generation for any other time.

Hard to photograph as they are much sharper and clearer than these photos show,,, just for reticle difference between the two, some don't like the circle reticle but on snow with the red illumination I think it's the best reticle I have in them conditions,,, JMHO
