Merry Christmas, and congrats on the bow. Soon as you get a chance check your brace height according manufactures recommendations before you shoot. Also a stringing aid is a must. I've been shooting vertical bows since I was a young kid, and I must say I learn something new about X bows on this forum everyday.

Wish I could be of some help, but the only scope I'm familiar with is the TactZone that came with my package. Like others told me, I recommend you shoot your set and get very familiar with it before making any huge changes. Someone on here will chime in and answer your scope question.

Open up the instruction manual here on the web site. Go to page 18 that will give you your proper brace height for your series of bow

I ask questions everyday. Just when I think I got things figured out something always comes up. Ask a question on here before you do something your not familiar with.

Your bow should have came with a Dead Zone or Vari-zone scope as advertized by Excalibur. .... Both are an up-grade above your SMF as they are speed adjustable and IMO, they have some what clearer glass and provide me with a better image.

I would contact the retailer and see where the correct scope is? A couple days ago this happened to another guy who recieved his Grizzy package. He contacted Excal. and they agreed to send him the better scope in exchange. If I was contacting them I would specifically request the Dead Zone. I have had both and the D/Z seems clearer to my old eyes plus it's more compact.

I have one on my Micro and another in the gun safe as a back-up scope for either it or my 355.

Enjoy your new bow ! You have a nice one.

I purchased the Grizzly last August, I've added tennis handle wrap on the stirrup, then wrapped paracord over that. I too purshased the reds and the air brakes, I haven't installed the brakes yet but I'm going to in January. You will like the bow have killed 2 deer last weekend, 33 yds and 37 yds complete pass throughs. Shooting Diablo's and 125 Spitfires. Love it so far.
