Aluminium rail. I got a 350 LE for my son as an early graduation gift. My hunting buddy ordered one within a hour of seeing/shooting my sons.

The 350LE may be a reworked 405 but it's a great crossbow. Mine was shooting exactly 350 fps with the factory string and 350 grain arrows. With 40 strand flemish string and 388 grain Spynal Tapps it shoots 333 fps. It's not really much harder to cock that my 330.

Love mine too!!! First Excalibur just got it bout two weeks ago from Al Flahertys for $527 USD . Sighted her in using a rest then had her out in the yard this evening shooting freehand out to 40 yds. Wow , I'm impressed . What a tack driver. :D :D :D

Ordered mine today ! Should have it by Wednesday ( fingers crossed ). Just need to get me some baby buggy bumpers and another puller and maybe some air brakes ?
This will be my 6th Excal - hope it stacks them like the other ones did.

Just wanted to say thank you to Excalibur for sending me a new bolt retention spring! The one that came on my 350LE from al flahertys was extremely tight against my rail. Not only was it down there, it seemed like half of the spring was touching. So the vanes of the arrow were smashed when loading them as well as lots of contact on the arrow shaft.

I opened a ticket with Excalibur explaining the issue and they sent out a new spring. The new one is shorter and thinner than the original and sits MUCH better with good clearance from the rail. Hopefully i just got a weird spring on the original or i dunno but big thanks for this new replacement one!

I'm looking forward to getting mine next week. I thought the 380 was a tad too violent, even with the REDS and Flemish string (which really helped). It could smash mere mortal nocks, and even misshape the Lumenock' s flat surface. Had a few off line arrows and a few slightly partial dry fires because of nock damage. The 350 should hit the sweet spot. I think its cool how they came up with the 350 too

Lol,

For a few weeks I contemplated selling my 350LE and picking up a Micro 315. Even came close to selling it, but after much more thought and shooting it again this past weekend. Nah, Im keepin my 350. It is a damn sweet crossbow.

Plus I fought off my urge to "splurge" haha.

Thank you for this thread OP, but please give a link to your original thread to this one.

I made my order on 350 SE. It will be here by tomorrow. I'm very excited, I have done alot of reading and runs to Mill's Fleet Farms for a hand-on the crossbows. Finally settled with 330, done some more reading then came across 350!

I'm new to crossbows. What's the best arrowheads and arrow for hunting big games guys?

H@H, Welcome to the forum (and the addiction! :D )
Check these broadheads out.

https://vparchery.com/product-category/three-blade/

Cut on contact, made from a solid high carbon tool steel block.(CNC) Then heat treated to 50 Rockwell Hardness.
No welds, no replaceable or moving parts that can foul out, from 85 - 300 grain.
Bad to the bone. 8)
Here is what others are saying about it:

Check out Big John's "Moms Bow Cases" in the Trading Post.
Very nice and a whole lot of bang for the buck.
If I get a case for mine, This will be it.
Big John is a top shelf arrow maker also. 8)

Very nice man! I already email him asking for more info on the case. Any other goodies that you want to give me a head-up on? I'm going to contact Dan Miller for the rest of the goodies. Thanks a bunch!

I hope Irondude does not get mad for unintentionally high jacking his thread! :D

I am a huge fan of the HHA Optimizer. Easy to use as falling off of a slick log! You can use a regular rifle scope (air gun approved), dial in the yardage, use the single crosshair, and shoot. No holdovers.
The guys at HHA have got it figured out.

When you talk to Danny Miller, be sure to order a set of his arra pullers. Money well spent.

It would be good to install your location so we can see where hail from.
