I don't own one but it's a great looking bow. More than enough power if your planning on hunting with it. The best thing you could do is find a dealer that will let you try them out on an indoor range and find the one that feels best for you.

Great bow, very fun to shoot and easy to cock, but underpowered for my taste. The 355 and 380 are the best of the matrix series.

My next Excalibur will most likely be the Grizzly, 305 FPS will put the smack on whitetails, turkey, and black bear. JMHO

I settled for the Cub upgraded with a 28 strand Matrix string from xcaliber Dan.I liked the "all black" look but more importantly the shorter shoulder stock length. The 9 pointer I smoked @ 36 yards quartering away with a Magnus Black Hornet added to my confidence that for me, the Cub is all I need! But just like anything else in this sport and in life,,Different strokes for different folks.I would also add IMHO,,the more power,,the more problems.I wanted something I didn't have to continually be "messin" with.A person can't go wrong with a Cub or Grizzly! Make sure to install a Trigger Tech in it!! :D

I keep hearing about brace hight. I don't see how to adjust it. I have looked on YouTube aswell.

There's a faint line on the shooting rail of the Grizzly at 1 1/2". You have to have a destringer. Put it on, cock the crossbow, and twist the string counterclockwise thus making the string tighter until it is back to the line. It really is that simple.

Well for starters you need a "stringer" to accomplish this task of setting Brace Height. Its hard to recognize, but there is a line that sits at 1.5 " from the end of the rail.Brace height on the Cub and Grizzly is 1.5",,,the manual that comes with either model is mis-stated.I have found through a lot of experimenting with various brace heights and a chronograph that the best overall performance is found at that 1.5" number.

The string is right on the line. I'm going to get a stringer.
