Boofest Accommodations

Post by paulaboutform »

Hi all. At last years Boofest I made a mental note of some of the available motels in the area. BIG MISTAKE! ....trusting my 'mental note' Anyway, some members reached out with some suggestions better than the Cedarview Motel and indoor campground. If any of you regulars could please make some motel suggestions it would be much appreciated. Because I'm usually the first to hit the Boofest grounds in the morning and the last to leave at night, I don't need anything fancy as I won't spend any time in the room besides sleeping. I'm just looking for an inexpensive and clean place as close to the Boogrounds as possible. I thought finding it now would ensure availability. Thanks. :D

Paul, One year Laura made reservations at the Cedarview Motel and when she arrived did a complete about face and got the heck away from there fast.

Do you want me to see if I can get you a better rate at the Woodlawn Inn in Cobourg. As a repeat guest they gave me a much better rate last year.

The Woodlawn is not quite what I would call inexpensive but I really do not think that you will find inexpensive anywhere nearby.

Hi Kevin. They said it's right beside the 401 with a Wal-Mart superstore and a Tim Horton's just down the road.

paulaboutform wrote:Thanks Norm, I actually just reserved a room for five nights at the Oshawa-Whitby Travelodge as per Texas Paul. I got a great rate with my discounts of $99/night. I'm still open to suggestions but don't want to spend a lot for about six hours use per night. My GPS says Booville is about 68kms away. Does that sound average. I think last year we were about thirty to forty minutes away.

Man, you drive slowwwww! I drove to Boofest from downtown Cobourg in 15 minutes and you were staying closer the highway than I was:lol:

Maybe if I layed on my back across them I could get a double belly rub. That's what Don's little ones do.
