Cheek piece on micro 335

Post by sproulman »

I just got my micro 335..I read some are stripping the screws when putting it on so I took my time tightening the screws.I found that they bottom out the screws are too long. The piece was loose. If you continue you will strip the threads. So I put washer on screws
and it worked fine....1 micro the screws bottomed out and other was fine ...

Mine went on nice when I first got it. Glad you figured a solution for your case. Nothing wrong with using the noggin. Congrats on the micro 335. Been enjoying mine.

I just had the same problem with a new Micro 335 I bought last week. Both screws stripped the plastic in the cheekpiece. It was like that right out of the box.

I sent the cheekpiece into Excal and they are going to replace it with a new one.
