Idiot. He should do a little research rather than just spouting off his own ridiculous opinions. Crossbows have been fully inclusive in Ohio's deer season since before 1996. Harvest records there show crossbows have had no big impact. Still tons of deer.

Wow I could barely finish reading that nonsense. If the goal was to thin the deer population then wouldn't they just extend gun season? And seriously, who shoots a deer at 70 yards with a crossbow

Hollow rhetoric with nothing behind it but his personal opinion. Truth be told he probably got laughed at as a young child while un successfully trying to cock a cross bow, resulting in Some sort of stigma towards the crossbow community.

The one impact that the xbow is having that I see is that older experienced hunters that had to give it up due to aging and other things are re entering the archery hunt. These are hunters who know how to harvest deer. The over all deer harvest isn't being effected but the # of Bucks being killed is shifting to the archery hunt.
I know the older I get the more I enjoy being in my tree stand in September/ October/ early November much more then I do when its -1 and blowing.

Virtual soapboxes (aka internet) allow cowards to vomit ridiculous and uneducated ideals without the risk of being laughed at in public....

I think anyone can turn his notion around and apply it to the modern compound as well.

Some people just live in their own nicely "compart-mentalized" world for the sake of simplicity and nobody can convince them that the world isn't flat because it's "easier" to keep on keeping on:)
