Why would Browning align themselves with Barnett?

It's probably the easiest/cheapest way to start into or test the market without the commitment of tooling and lower risk.

Browning has ramped up a number of new initiatives for their 125th Anniversary.

I can see it, they have turned the "buckmark" logo into something that even people that have no connection to hunting etc "just have to have" (clothes, car seat covers, keychains etc).

They are also releasing a whole line of ammunition, rimfire, centerfire and shotgun this spring (in the US - Canuck fans will have to wait until early 2017).

The overall market for your hunting/outdoor bucks is getting pretty wide spread, Browning is just trying to really entrench themselves to get more of your money than anyone else - and it is a "trusted name".

If you were getting into the market for a "wheeled crossbow" aren't you more likely to trust a name that's everywhere compared to "Bob's bows" which came on the market at the same time??
