Matrix Black 380
Is there any difference in the 2015 model compared to the 2016? Was the limb issue addressed with new style in 2015? thanks jeff~

I can't say if'en they changed anything on the 380, of course they dropped the 405. So maybe they got the limb problems ironed out enuff the 380's will hold wid no troubles. I sure hope so as i have one

Re: Matrix Black 380
We didn't really see as many issues with the Matrix 380. However, all of our limbs going forward will be coated with our new process avoiding many future issues related to heat.
This is not to say we will never have a limb failure again, any limb can fail from any type of bow. Even our much loved long limb crossbow models had limb failures. Believe it or not the industry standard for limb failures is 16%! We normally sit around 1-2% and the 405 was a little higher but still was way below standard. We just don't think 16% failures is reasonable, I have no idea how some bow companies deal with that sort of failure rate?
As I have said before, if you believe everything you read on social media you would think every crossbow we made was failing, this is not even close to the truth. Yes, we had some limbs fail during the busy hunting season...this is the only time they will happen. We did find a processing problem that affected some limbs and fixed it.
So, if you have a crossbow that did not have a limb issue but worried yours may fail, stop worrying. It sort of like worrying you're going to have a flat tire...crap happens. Just shoot your crossbow and be happy and remember you have an insurance policy called "Lifetime Warranty"! If something happens we are here to look after you.

This is why I bought an Excalibur. Can't wait for it to arrive tomorrow. Feels like Christmas. Feels good knowing they got your back if anything happens .

Amen!!!
The vast majority of us have had zero limb issues. It would be nice if we could see more Posts about hunting and new crossbow eye candy. Instead of the 1% limb issues....

As long as I stay away from the archery shops I should be able to resist the temptation... LoLnewbie wrote:Or more eye candy pics of the new Micro 355:winkbellerivercrossbowhunter wrote:Amen!!!

....Peter, I know you are worried about our sleeping habits...let me explain...there are some people who might have trouble sleeping worrying about "if" and "when" there might be a limb failure. I know there is concern about it happening while up in a tree or on an expensive hunt...(but that can happen with any hunting implement at any time.)....I can assure you that I have no trouble sleeping because I know we have the best crossbow company out there....standing behind us with their IRON CLAD WARRANTY!Excalibur Marketing Dude wrote:We didn't really see as many issues with the Matrix 380. So us poor folks can take advantage of the Can/US exchange rates and buy a new Excalibur cheap.
