They must list one every day with no reserve, I just plunked in the most that I wanted to spend and let the chips fall where they may. I bid on 6 or 7 straight days before I got that one. I use a automatic bidder (Gixen) so I dont have to try to put my bid in at the last second. Just put in your max dollar amount and let the computer do the work.

Welcome and congrats on your new bow. When you're setting up, don't shoot at the same spot. You'll break arrows. Your kit comes with a cocking aid. As you know by now, you'll need to get a stringing aid. Also, if you've planning on buying more arrows straight away, I suggest calling Danny Miller at horizontal archery. He can sell you far better arrows at a lower price. You may also want to buy yourself a pair of Danny Miller plier pullers. You can also order arrows from Jerry at South Shore Archery.
Here's an FWI..
- the riser is the piece the limbs are bolted to
- the rail is also called the mainframe
- brace height refers to the distance from the seam where the riser meets the rail to the front of the string
- It's a good idea to remove each fastener one at a time and add a tiny spot of low/medium strength blue loktight and reattach. Be very careful to use good quality allen wrenches because the heads of the smaller fasteners are easily stripped.
Have fun! :D

Here is a pic. of the new design tool. Also, Danny Miller's number. As Paul said, great prices from Danny, and just a wealth of knowledge too. (740)483-2312

Welcome to the clan,,,you made a good choice in the "Grizzly",,if your wallet allows I would get a Trigger Tech trigger,,I am sure that most of the members would agree that the Ttec offers numerous benefits.May I also suggest a Cheek Piece and a pair of REDS!.
Have you decided on arrows and broad heads? Consider cutting your arrows to 16.5 or 17 inches and wrap your foot stirrup with some tennis racket handle rap.

Good Luck and have fun

Cool tips there...since I really have zero experience I plan to use the arrows that came with the bow to see how I do. First thing I need is a target. After getting used to the bow I will certainly look into some of the items you mention. I learned that the "reds" is to quiet down the bow...does it really make much difference? Are the shorter arrows to increase speed? Regarding broadheads I know I need to do a lot of homework there. The only ones that I know anything about are the boltcutters that I heard the gent in the DVD talk about. I am hoping my bow shows up in the next couple days...very excited!

You made a good choice on Excalibur & using this forum. You won't see much bs here. Call Danny Miller for sure, do this before you buy more arrows, he is the encyclopedia of Excalibur crossbows. He will set you up with the weight & length.

I purchased my Grizzly last year, liked it so much I bought one last week for my son. Pine mountain Archery. Shot 2 deer with it 33yds and 37 yds. Diablo arrows that came with the bow, and 125 grain Spitfires. I have the Reds, which I like, and I am putting air brakes on. I wrapped my stirrup with tennis wrap and put paracord over that. Bow is dead on.

Thanks, not sure how they can list them with no reserve. I was very happy to get mine for 318$ plus 20$ shipping. The box came today in perfect shape. In the process of assembling it now :)
I am sure they are still making money but probably not getting rich on sales like yours and mine.
