2015 Deer Season Review (Video)

Post by drkeenan »

This season had it's ups and downs however in the end I got to spend a lot of time in the woods and ended with a full freezer. It's nice to finally have the ability to film hunts which will make looking back even more fun in the future!!

Here is my video review.

Very cool. What was your set up for the videos? Camera, mount, etc. How far were the shots?

Thanks. I use an ATN Shot Trak attached to an Excalibur Tac Pac rail. The coyote was 17 yds and the two doe vids were 30 yds.

Great job on the vodeo. The lighted nocks made it that much better.... congrats on a great season....

Awesome video. However it has me a little worried about the micro 335 having 4 limb failures in 10 months. Did you have to order warranty limbs and change them yourself? Did they give you any reason for the failures. Just curious as I am about to order a micro 335

That was a great video, it's nice to see some home grown footage from grass roots folks.

No worries. That is not the norm. My Micro is 7 months in my possession and hundreds of shots later it is still perfect...

Just take the plunge.... :)

Answer

I have no doubt that I was just REALLY unlucky with my Micro. The warranty service from Excalibur was outstanding taking about a week to get fixed up each time. Although I did lose confidence in that bow I am thrilled with the M330 and will probably buy a Micro 355 at some point!!!

I think I was just unlucky with that bow. Excalibur was AWESOME to work with and had very responsive warranty service!! Although I now love my Matrix 330 I have no doubt I will someday own a Micro 355!!

Great Video!! Thank you for sharing. Awesome coyote shot!!!

I think that the micro has a huge problem,... There HAS to be an "X" somewhere in the name of an Excalibur   ..And sorry guys there is just no other way to spell it. Now the MatriX...see, we have everything we need to make a perfect Excalibur, "including the X
