Micro's n Diff 335-355

Post by vixenmaster » Sun Mar 06, 2016 7:28 pm

I have not ck'ed everything. Have been mostly workin over on the lease today. The 355 Riser is more swept back, creates shorter limb diff of 7/16". The 355 is 24 13/16" usin a tape & 335 is 25 1/4". The 355 has a deeper bow in the limbs, this also sets up a very deep brace ht. Of course the Riser cut outs are right in yer face, also the 355 has no brace ht. line. Mine has the shorter string on it. Once i get to shoot it i will knowed more about the actually speed/fps diff between these 2. From my observation by puttin the 355 Riser on the 335 rail, n puttin the 335 Riser over on the 355 rail. The fps race will be a very close one! :) This much i can tell you, the 355 Riser on the 335 of Capt. Morgan the 400gr arrows hit low at 50 yds fer the 5 shots i took this afternoon

let us know what ya find. i figured the riser on the 355 having more rearward angle kickback it would have to be wider to make up an inch. a 355 riser on a 335 rail would still make it a 355 speedwise no :?:

No. The rail on a 335 has to be shorter. That is why Mikes arrows were shooting low. How much shorter I do not know. Perhaps Mike will tell us.

There is an inch between them, 355 is 13 3/4" n the 335 is 12 3/4" on rails. The way the new Riser is configured it won't get the 335 fps if'en used on the 335. Its goin to be in the area of 320 fps usin the 400gr arrows. The 355 Riser on the 335 gives you a 8 5/8" drawstroke. The 335 Riser on the 335 rail is 9 1/8". The 335 Riser on the 355 rail gives you 10 1/8". Wid the new Riser its angled back abit more n has the relief beveled on the outside of limb pocket to relieve the shear Factor n stress point. Nicely redesigned Risers on the 355 n 315. It will be the end of the week before my new mainframe assembly arrives. Then i can get to chooten alot! I figure wid any good days in March i will get 500 shots on Marie Laveau, such a lovely Witch. Yuppers the VooDoo Queen will cast many of spells this Fall. I talked to my lease owner yesterday n she asked if'en i could take more deer than the 2 i killed there. I said yes the unlimited permits on antlerless would allow that. She said well take at least a dz then of those Doe's, way too many on the place. Oh yeah thats right up my crock-pot alley

Mike back in 60s here in nc pa we had deer like that..You would see 5/8 Bucks a drive..No scopes open sights and only recurve bows with cedar arrows..We all acted like fred bear/chuck adams..NOW to see 2 deer in day hunting is something all doe killing has ruined our hunting and going to get a lot worst ....We have kids and retired adults that have not gotten deer in years and some have not even see deer...

Mike, What brace height did your Micro 355 have when you Received it ??? Everything same as 335 except Rail and Riser ?

Riser is diff as i wrote up in an earlier post. 355 came right on the money at 1 5/8" brace ht. There isn't a brace line on the rail. I jus keep the string 3/16" off the REDS, rail is longer

Wid this brace set 3/16" off he REDS the only way you can change it is to take the REDS off
