O/T Unintentional fletching durability test

Post by Carnivorous »

I recently built some arrows with the tips that I learned from Boo's arrow smithing lessons. Tonight I was shooting in the basement & decided to shoot my Micro 335 (that has no scope) just for the heck of it. Well I missed the rienhart 18-1 & the arrow went through an inside wall 2 sheets of 1/2" drywall & in to a plastic organizer on the other side. I pulled the arrow out backwards & to my surprise the fletching still looks like new. I guess the fletchings pass the durability test... LOL

You can see the drywall marks on the zombies.. :)

A snap shot of the look on your face when the arrow missed the target would be pretty good too!
Nice job on the fletchings Jeff!

Many years ago --- had a similar Ruh Roh with a vertical bow --- as I recall the oops was not well received by my significant other.
