Sportsmens Show Today

Post by Big John »

Went to the Toronto Sportsmens Show today to see all the fun stuff! :)
Not ready to walk on knee yet so my daughter Jen came along a pushed me on a wheelchair for the day. We had a good time.
Lot's to see and check out this time. Got a few good deals as well. My bud Alfred got a Great deal on a pair of Steiner Binoculars!
And Solid Pine boat oars, 48"in and 60 " in. for only $8.00 each.
Then we hit the Hunting area for some window shopping and visiting some of my good friends. Ended up at the Excalibur Booth. Had a good long talk with Ryan, Peter, and Rob. They are really good people let me tell you! I've known them a while and always have good things to say and talk about. Although my next interest is a bulldog, they happened to have a New Katana there! What a sweat Bow! Amazing piece of equipment! 8)
All in all, a good time, and good talk, with good friends.
Oh ya, the dog show was great fun as well!!! :D

PS:
Met up with Mr. Noble! Makenna's father.
Had a good chat with him about a few things, including Makenna. She is doing good. Still is going thru crappy treatments but doing good. She is growing and coping, and apparently the Mrs. almost got a Deer with the Crossbow this past season. 8)
Was good stuff to hear!

That is a wicked bow.

Gerald Strine:

The Katana is a Stryker Bow. But it also has some Excalibur influence to it. 8)
Yes it is a compound crossbow, but, it has some sweat attributes! Like: 155 draw weight only! And produce 385 FPS.
Is VERY narrow, and silent! As well, something others might not know, the hand grip is the same as the Glock gun!!! :)
Makes for a solid grip! The forearm is octagonal which also makes for great grip.
Pick one up and try it! You will probably bring it home!

Anyone else hit the show this year?
I found this one to be better than previous for some reason.
Maybe because as soon as we got there we seen a very enjoyable and funny dog show! Started the day off right!
And I really suggest you guys pick up a Katana and check it out!
I also met a lot of fellow crossbow hunters there. Almost all are using the Micro now. 8) Good stuff to hear and know.
I'm going out on a limb here and say that the Bulldog and Micro 355 are really going to sell heavily this year! But, I would still like a Katana!

I was at the show on Thursday with Lemmy and Mickey Mayhem.Image][/img]

Then again on Saturday. Had a great time running into and chatting with somewhat like minded folks. Always seem to spend more time yapp'in it up that look'in around. Been accused of being a social butterfly.

Nice John!
I haven't been to the show in a couple years. Used to go with my little brother. Always plenty to see and admire. Watching the dogs is great and I NEVER miss stopping at the booth with the summer sausage and jerky. :D
