Thanks Robert for posting. Scotty, looks similar to mine with the separation of serving. I believe you replaced with a custom and problem was solved? I have a vixen string ready to go so if it blows up I'm sur Emile won't mind selling me another lol. I checked the jaws and they seem fine, no rough edges. Some have mentioned polishing, can they be taken out? is that part of the trigger group? the separation on the left is where the rope cocker sits, checked the hooks and they seem fine.does it matter which way the hooks are placed on the string when cocking it?

Serving separation can be caused by not enough serving tension, strings twisted the wrong way or strings not twisted enough.
What we've seen in the past is strings untwisted to achieve a desired brace height and then shot. What should be done is to shoot the bow and let the string elongate (creep) until the correct brace height is achieved, then more twists added as needed.
The reality is, just like in compound bows, strings and especially cables, should never be untwisted.

Sounds to me like he has a factory installed string Boo. It should be twisted correctly if so.

FWIW the stock string that came on my Micro 2 yrs ago separated after 2 shots. When I went to reserve it, it was twisted opposite of how the serving was applied.

I bet it is where the string is held by the claw as I call it and it is catching it when it is fired as it lifts up away from the string . Had that happen years ago with my Exomax it would cut my string apart. Got it fixed by Danny Miller then no problem .

The string came on the prod and was never touched, bolted it on and shot. It's factory all the way, I sent a couple more pics of the string so they should be up shortly.

He sent me three more pictures but I can't get them to transfer to my computer from the e-mail. Must be his I-phone picture program. Can't post what I can't get on photobucket.

They looked to me to be twisted correctly though.

Danny doesn't make the Cub string. The string certainly is twisted properly.
I can't expand it on my side. , does it look like .035" Angel Majesty? I almost see the some twisted serving rather then the woven Angel Majesty.

I agree Boo. Doesn't look like AM 035 to me.
