Opening Day in Texas... Micro Draws Blood Pics added

Post by flightattendant100 »

Today is opening day of spring turkey season in our part of Texas. We had some response this morning, but nothing came all way in. This evening was pretty slow until about 5:30 when a hen came by. She didn't like the decoy I guess as she stood and screamed at it for about 20 minutes. She finally moved off but didn't go far.About a quarter till 7, we were about to leave, when Colton got s response to a series of yelps. We sat right and it wasn't but a few seconds we got another gobble. Colton could see them first and said there were two! Not.... There were FIVE! jakes and they came right on in to the deke. Colton waited until he wouldn't hit more than one and let the Zombie Slayer fly. Great shot, and bird went about 20 yards. Trust me, FOC broadheads and turkeys are not friends!
Thanks Excalibur for a bow as kick b-TT as a Micro, thanks Big John for some great arrows and thank the Good Lord for stewwwwpid jakes. Colton got a bow kill bird , all is well. I'll post pics after I get home tomorrow. I don't know how on this phone. :D :D :D

We tried all last turkey season to get him one with his Zmicro, and just never quite got it done. This is sure a load off. He is a tickled kiddo! He has texted and face booked non stop!
