C2 crank cocker to adjust brace height?

Post by Arrowflinger »

Hey guys, just received my matrix 350 LE. Brace height is very low. Can I use the C2 crank cocker in conjunction with the heavy duty stringing aid to adjust brace height? If so would someone explain the procedure and especially the release part. Also advice on twisting the string (how many twist per half inch and direction). Thanks in advance for any help.

I use mine. Put the string aid on and run the hooks from the C2 down and hook to the stringing aid. Engage the C2 and crank it up and adjust the string. I hold my handle tightly and flip off the crank release and pull the trigger with other hand and slowly crank it down. One full twist of string will move about 1/8 inch.

To answer your other question,
twist your string counter clockwise.

Thanks for the info Robert , Dave,&Jeff. Just out of curiosity when you at hold on to the handle tight please enlighten me on the force involved; realizing I'm sure it's gonna act as a knucklebuster and not wanting to be another crossbow accident statistic. Thanks for your time and patience.

I am 66 years old and had open heart surgery not too long ago. I assure you it is not hard. Just said hold on tight cause some people do not seem to be able to hold a few lbs. of pressure when holding on to a handle. It is like decocking your bow. Scary till you actually do it.

When adjusting brace height, I have the clicker/anti-backlash engaged and only crank enough to adjust string. That way I don't have to worry about the trigger or ADF when unloading the stringer.

there is not a lot of force, have a good grip on the handle and do not let it slip. take your time and don't try to rush
