I used the smallest angle also..nchunterkw wrote:ON my Lansky if I try for the smallest angle I never get good results on anything. Did you try it at the 25 degree setting? That is plenty sharp for BHs IMO

Hey Big, dang good post Brother!
IT has been a while, huh? As you know, I have been kinda pre occupied.
Lot of good replies.
When my Spynal Tapps arrive, I plan on using one broadhead from each pack and designating it as my "field tip".
Until I learn to sharpen them a LOT better than I can at this time, I don't want to use my hunting heads with the target.
So far I have Stingers and Black Hornets. Failed miserably trying to sharpen one of each. Those will be my "field tips".
RamCats and the buzzcut versions of the Stingers and BH are next on my list. I plan on seeing how close these perform consistently, and make a decision then.
I think the Lansky system may be the way to go for me.
I can sharpen a knife like a razor, but my broadhead sharpening skills leave a lot to be desired.

Hey Max, good to see you back. Look around Magnus' website. I know that they have a video on how to sharpen Snuffers, maybe they'll have one on how to sharpen the others. If not, just contact them to ask how.

Thanks, it's good to be back.
I will check out the video.
To me, if it wont dig into my thumb nail, it needs some work.
Someone correct me if I am wrong.
I have stropped them on cardboard with jewlers rouge to no avail. Maybe I should leave them alone.

You're only paranoid if everyone isn't out to get you.
Keep your friends close and your enemies closer.
My enemy's friend is also my enemy.
