Thanks for sharing. I watched it up to the point where he said he prefers aluminum rear inserts. I have thousands of shots on my plastic nocks and zero issues here.. lol

Other people have had plastic nocks crack and or break with crossbows and I don't want to be one of them. It's true that like yourself you've never had it happen, but others have, which can cause serious damage to a crossbow and even possibly a persons eye's.

Each to their own, just keep in mind that aluminum nocks are more likely to damage strings if they have the slightest burr or damage. I've personally had servings destroyed from aluminum nocks and I've seen a semi dry fire caused on a Vortex with no visible damage, by eye, to the nock. The string was actually severed completely.

Cracked/broken nocks can happen because of a semi dry-fire or just plain el-cheapo nocks.
You can make a nock adaptor for a fletching tool by gluing an older type traditional bow nock onto a target tip. There are a few capture nocks and semi capture nocks that will work as well, if you're using a plastic removable nock.
The one in the Utube video is slick though.

I just use a plastic nock for a v. bow
and when finished fletching replace it with a c/b nock ...flat .. no glue nothing.

I have used a 38 Special brass casing for an adapter.
Just grind two notches on the edge of the rim accross from each other.
I use 2219 aluminum arrows.
I don't know if they would be tight enough on carbon arrows.
I think I sized the casing so it would be tight.
I use a JoJan fletching tool.
