Now then, get your equipment, your quiver and bow, and go out to the open country to hunt some wild game for me.

I really like my Vanguard Spirt ED 42mm binos. The only down side is the non-locking eye pieces.

Don't rule out Carson. I'd put them on par with Vortex in the same price range.

Nikon or Bushnell. Have both, hard to beat for the price.

I would also stick witht the top end of your budget. "Buy once, cry once". I did a lot of research before buyng my wife a pair of Vortex Diamondbacks. There's a real jump in optics quality around the $300 mark. I had a pair of Bushnells which I thought were good until I actually tried out her Vortex while on a fishing trip. No comparison. I ended up getting a pair of Carson TD-842 3D's last year and what a difference they made during my deer season.

I've only tried the Bushnell, Luepold and Vortex from your list. All have great warranty. I haven't tried all the binos but from what I've seen I'd make sure to check out the Vortex.

Very nice slightly used ones can occasionally be found also, as guys sell some pretty nice glass to move up to Swavorsky ( sp?)and Ziess glass. I picked up a set of Leupold 8x42 Gold Rings a few years back with their lifetime warranty for right at $350 under those conditions. A bit heavy compared to some newer models but the glass is OH SO CLEAR. I have never suffered eye strain when using them for even very long periods as you would a spotting scope.
